March 1, 2023Anacostia Playhouse seeks an Administrative Assistant to join our growing team! The Administrative Assistant will serve as the main point of contact at the office for assisting visitors and will work closely with the Executive Artistic Director to ensure all plans for the theater are carried out efficiently.
Administrative duties include:
- Updating the website, as needed
- Checking the office voicemail
- Managing the rental calendar
- Keeping office filing up to date
Production duties can include:
- Posting casting notices
- Gathering audition materials
- Creating director and design staff contracts
- Serving as the liaison between the Executive Artistic Director and production teams
An ideal candidate will be:
- A good communicator;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, or other equivalent word and data processing systems;
- Able to keep track of deadlines, applications, and play submissions; and
- Strongly detail-oriented.
