February 24, 2023The Anacostia Playhouse is looking for a self-motivated Website Manager. This is an hourly position, working on an as-needed basis. The position will support our Marketing and Development departments, and reports to the Executive Artistic Director.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading the Anacostia Playhouse website.
- Responding to and troubleshooting all website issues.
- Ensuring that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.
- Conducting content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
- Creating appropriate website content aligned with the organization’s strategy.
- Improving the user experience of the website regularly.
- Collaborating with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with and meets the organization’s standards.
- Creating strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.
- Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts
- Updating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript regularly.
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience as a website manager. Preferred experience working with performing arts organizations.
- Must have experience in website builders such as WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, and other similar site builders.
- Expert knowledge of Macromedia suite, Adobe suite, Content Management Systems, and W3C Web standards.
- Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), and JavaScript
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multitask.
Job Type: Hourly
Schedule: Self-determined schedule during core business hours (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Experience:
- Website Development/Management: 2+ years (Preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote
